The Social Security Trace does not provide a match of the number with the applicant name from the Social Security Administration, it only provides information regarding the establishment of an identity by the applicant. The Social Security Trace is a non-permissible purpose use product and can be obtained without the permission of the applicant. This report does not show up as an inquiry on the applicant's credit report.
