For those companies utilizing fleets of vehicles to operate their business, The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) requires an investigation of a driver's employment record for the preceding three years, within 30 days of beginning employment with any company falling under DOT guidelines. The investigation includes completion of all DOT-recommended questions and is designed to keep you in compliance with DOT regulations.

For our DOT regulated clients, USA-FACT offers an expanded employment verification history report to provide a comprehensive DOT employment verification check on your driver applicants. This incorporates the DOT required questions for each employer including accident history and drug and alcohol information. Our DOT employment verification encompasses each of the requirements set forth by DOT to satisfy Section 391.23 of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations and complies with 49 CFR Part 40.25.

This search provides Department of Transportation (DOT) compliant verification of any specified level of an applicant's employment history for the past three [3] years. Also obtains drug and alcohol testing history from past employer(s) concerning dates of confirmed positive tests for drugs or confirmed alcohol test results of 0.04% or greater. Results include any drug test, evidential breath or saliva alcohol test, refusals to test including verified adulteration or substitutions and treatment records (to determine compliance with 49 CFR Part 40.25) performed within the last three [3] years as required under Federal Requirement 49 CFR Part 40.25.
